The company offers Naval Architecture, Marine Survey, and Marine Engineering Design Services. Capilano Maritime has a strong combination of many years of seagoing and shipbuilding practical experience in the commercial industry, backed up by very strong design and analytical capabilities.

The Company’s focus is on providing engineering services for project involving all manner of workboats including tugs, barges, crewboats, marine construction vessel, dredges and ferries.

The Company is committed to Canadian operators, Canadian Shipyards and Vessels which operate in Canadian waters and it is expanding its footprint throughout North and South America and the Middle East.

Capilano Maritime has developed a solid and unique background in the design, procurement and deployment of vessels, barges, docks, floating walkways and pipelines mooring systems servicing the Canadian Oil Sands Recycle Water Operations.

CMDL employs a dynamic and creative team at the main office in North Vancouver, BC. The strength of our team resides in our diversities: Naval Architects, Marine Mechanical Engineers, Structural Technologists, System Technologists and Marine Surveyors. We all contribute to our clients satisfaction.

All our professional staff members have engineering degrees and/or post-graduate degrees. All Naval Architects and Marine Mechanical Engineers are registered with EGBC as Professional Engineers or Engineers in Training. Some are registered in other Canadian Provinces as well.

Capilano Maritime offers employees opportunities for continuous education by attending training seminars and technical conferences. CMDL’s employees are also active members of SNAME, the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

CMDL’s office is located right by the Ocean and less than 30 minutes away from the local ski resorts and North Shore hiking trails offering employees opportunities for an active and healthy lifestyle.
